What is the difference between Acetal Homopolymer and Copolymer?

Homopolymer (Delrin®) has higher mechanical strength, stiffness and hardness, ideal for precision parts. Copolymer (Celcon®) offers better chemical resistance, less shrinkage and greater dimensional stability, ideal for parts in contact with fluids.

What Acetal formats do you have in stock?

What is POM material and what is it used for?

POM (Polyoxymethylene), also known as Acetal or Delrin®, is an engineering thermoplastic with high stiffness, low friction, and excellent dimensional stability. It is used for gears, bushings, valves, guides, and precision components in automotive, electronics, and food industries.

What is the difference between POM and POM C?

POM (without suffix) generally refers to Homopolymer (POM-H or Delrin®), which has higher mechanical strength and stiffness. POM C refers to Copolymer (POM-C or Celcon®), which offers better chemical resistance, lower outgassing, and greater stability in humid environments. PomDepot stocks both.

What types of acetal resin are available?

There are two main types: Homopolymer (Delrin®) and Copolymer (Celcon®). Additionally, there are specialty grades like glass-fiber reinforced Acetal, low-friction Acetal, ESD Acetal (antistatic), and blue detectable Acetal (food industry). PomDepot distributes all 6 grades.
